Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "We all set out from Madinah with the intention of performing Hajj only. When we reached Sarif, I began menstruating. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to me while I was weeping. He asked: 'What is the matter with you? Have you started menstruating?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'This is something that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. So perform all the rites of Hajj as others do, except that you should not perform Tawaf around the Ka'bah.' Aisha added: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) then offered a cow as sacrifice on behalf of his wives."
اردو ترجمہ
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہہم سب لوگ مدینہ سے صرف حج کا خیال کر کے نکلے۔ پھر جب (مقام) سرف میں پہنچے تو مجھے حیض آ گیا۔ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممیرے پاس تشریف لائے اور میں رو رہی تھی تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”تمہیں کیا ہوا، کیا تمہیں حیض آ گیا؟“میں نے کہا ہاں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”یہ ایک ایسی چیز ہے جو اللہ نے آدم کی بیٹیوں پر لکھ دی ہے، لہٰذا جو مناسک حج کرنے والا ادا کرتا ہے، تم بھی کرو مگر تم کعبہ کا طواف نہ کرنا۔“عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں (کہ پھر) رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اپنی بیویوں کی طرف سے گائے کی قربانی کی۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 203]
