انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both): He was in Hims (a city of Sham). There he recited Surah Yusuf, and a man said, "This sura was not revealed like this (the way you recited it)." Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, "I recited this sura before the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he (peace be upon him) said, 'You recited it very well.'" And (Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both)) smelled the odour of wine from his mouth, so he said, "Do you both belie the Book of Allah and enjoy the pleasures of wine?" Then he applied the prescribed punishment to him.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما ہی روایت ہے کہوہ (شام کے شہر) حمص میں تھے، وہاں انھوں نے سورۃ یوسف پڑھی تو ایک شخص نے کہا کہ یہ سورت اس طرح نہیں اتری (جس طرح تم نے پڑھی) سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ میں نے یہ سورت رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے سامنے پڑھی تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”بہت اچھی پڑھی۔“اور (سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما نے) اس کے منہ سے شراب کی بو محسوس کی تو فرمایا:”کیا ادھر تو کتاب اللہ کو جھٹلاتا ہے اور ادھر شراب کے مزے اڑاتا ہے؟ پھر اس کو حد لگائی۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1811]
