انگریزی ترجمہ
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) initially let his hair hang down over his forehead (like the People of the Book), while the polytheists used to part their hair. The People of the Book would let their hair hang down, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to prefer following the People of the Book in matters where no command had been revealed. Later, the Prophet (peace be upon him) began parting his hair.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم(شروع میں) پیشانی کے بال سامنے لٹکاتے اور مشرک لوگ مانگ نکالا کرتے۔ اہل کتاب بالوں کو لٹکاتے اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجس بات میں کوئی حکم نہ آتا تو اہل کتاب کی موافقت (بہ نسبت مشرکوں کے) پسند فرماتے پھر اس کے بعد آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسر میں مانگ نکالنے لگے۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1490]
