حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَخْرَةَ، جَامِعُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ مُحْرِزٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ جَاءَتْ بَنُو تَمِيمٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " أَبْشِرُوا يَا بَنِي تَمِيمٍ ". قَالُوا أَمَّا إِذْ بَشَّرْتَنَا فَأَعْطِنَا. فَتَغَيَّرَ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَجَاءَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اقْبَلُوا الْبُشْرَى إِذْ لَمْ يَقْبَلْهَا بَنُو تَمِيمٍ ". قَالُوا قَدْ قَبِلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated by Hadrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that the people of Banu Tamim came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and he stated, 'Accept the glad tidings, O Banu Tamim!' They submitted, 'You have given us glad tidings, so now grant us something.' At that, the countenance of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) changed. Then the people of Yemen came, and he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, 'Accept the glad tidings, O people of Yemen, since Banu Tamim did not accept them.' They submitted, 'We accept them. We have come to you to learn the religion and to ask about the beginning of this world.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, 'Allah existed before everything and there was nothing before Him, and His Throne was over water. Then Allah created the heavens and the earth and recorded everything in the Preserved Tablet.'
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ بنو تمیم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوئے تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ اے بنو تمیم! خوشخبری قبول کرو۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ آپ نے ہمیں خوشخبری سنا دی تو ہمیں کچھ عطا فرمائیے۔ اس پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے چہرۂ انور کا رنگ بدل گیا۔ پھر اہل یمن تشریف لائے تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ اے اہل یمن! خوشخبری قبول کرو جبکہ بنو تمیم نے اسے قبول نہیں کیا۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا: ہم نے قبول کیا، ہم آپ کے پاس دین سیکھنے اور یہ پوچھنے آئے ہیں کہ اس دنیا کی ابتداء کیسے ہوئی؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ پہلے سے موجود تھا اور اس سے پہلے کوئی چیز نہ تھی اور اس کا عرش پانی پر تھا، پھر اللہ تعالیٰ نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا فرمایا اور لوح محفوظ میں ہر چیز لکھ دی۔
