It is narrated from Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) who said: Thursday! And what a day Thursday was! Then he wept until his tears moistened the pebbles. Sa'id bin Jubair (upon him be mercy) submitted: O Abu 'Abbas, what is it about Thursday? He said: The illness of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) intensified, and he declared: Bring me a scapula bone so that I may write for you a document after which you shall never go astray. The people differed among themselves, though it is not befitting to differ in the presence of a the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Some said: What is wrong with him? Ask him to clarify. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: Leave me be, for the state I am in is better than that to which you call me. Then he gave three commands, saying: Expel the polytheists from the Arabian Peninsula; show hospitality to delegations as I used to do. And the third was something good — either the narrator did not mention it, or I forgot it. Sufyan said: This (the third was something good) is from the words of Sulaiman al-Ahwal.
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: جمعرات کا دن، ہائے جمعرات کا دن کیسا تھا! پھر اتنا روئے کہ آنسوؤں سے کنکریاں بھیگ گئیں۔ سعید بن جبیر رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے عرض کیا: اے ابوعباس! جمعرات کے دن کی کیا بات ہے؟ فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی تکلیف (مرض الموت) میں شدت ہوئی تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مجھے ایک ہڈی کا شانہ لا دو تاکہ میں تمہارے لیے ایک تحریر لکھ دوں جس کے بعد تم کبھی گمراہ نہ ہو۔ لوگوں نے آپس میں اختلاف کیا حالانکہ نبی کے سامنے اختلاف کرنا مناسب نہیں تھا۔ بعض کہنے لگے: انہیں کیا ہوا؟ پوچھ کر دیکھو۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مجھے چھوڑ دو، اس وقت جس حال میں میں ہوں وہ اس سے بہتر ہے جس کی طرف تم مجھے بلا رہے ہو۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے تین باتوں کا حکم فرمایا: مشرکین کو جزیرۃ العرب سے نکال دو، وفود کے ساتھ اسی طرح اکرام کرو جیسا میں کیا کرتا تھا۔ اور تیسری بات بھلی تھی، یا تو (سعید بن جبیر نے) اسے بیان نہیں کیا یا (حضرت ابن عباس) بھول گئے۔ سفیان نے کہا: یہ (تیسری بات بھلی تھی) سلیمان احول کا کلام ہے۔
