Sa'id ibn Muhammad al-Jarmi narrated to us, Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, my father narrated to us that al-Walid ibn Kathir narrated to him, Muhammad ibn 'Amr ibn Halhalah al-Du'ali narrated to him, that Ibn Shihab narrated to him, that Hadrat 'Ali ibn Husayn narrated to him that when they returned to Madinah from Yazid ibn Mu'awiyah after the martyrdom of Hadrat Husayn ibn Hadrat 'Ali (upon him be mercy), al-Miswar ibn Makhramah met him and said: 'Do you have any need that you would command me to fulfill?' I said: 'No.' He said: 'Then will you give me the sword of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)? For I fear that the people may seize it from you by force. By Allah, if you give it to me, they shall never reach it as long as there is life in me. Indeed, Hadrat ' Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah ennoble his countenance) proposed marriage to the daughter of Abu Jahl while being married to Sayyidah Hadrat Fatimah (upon her be peace). I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) delivering a sermon to the people on this very pulpit about this matter, and I was at that time of age. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Hadrat Fatimah is from me, and I fear that she may be put to trial in her religion." Then he mentioned a son-in-law of his from the Banu 'Abd Shams and praised him regarding his relationship by marriage, saying: "He spoke to me and was truthful, and he promised me and fulfilled his promise. I do not declare lawful what is unlawful, nor declare unlawful what is lawful, but by Allah, the daughter of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and the daughter of the enemy of Allah shall never be joined together."'
اردو ترجمہ
ہم سے سعید بن محمد الجرمی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یعقوب بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے میرے والد نے بیان کیا کہ ان سے ولید بن کثیر نے بیان کیا، انہیں محمد بن عمرو بن حلحلہ الدؤلی نے بیان کیا، انہیں ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا، انہیں علی بن حسین نے بیان کیا کہ جب وہ یزید بن حضرت معاویہ کے پاس سے حضرت حسین بن علی رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ کی شہادت کے بعد مدینہ منورہ واپس آئے تو مسور بن مخرمہ نے ان سے ملاقات کی اور کہا: کیا تمہاری کوئی حاجت ہے جس کا تم مجھے حکم دو؟ میں نے کہا: نہیں۔ پھر کہا: کیا تم مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی تلوار دے دو گے؟ مجھے ڈر ہے کہ یہ لوگ تم سے زبردستی لے لیں۔ اللہ کی قسم! اگر تم مجھے دے دو تو وہ ان تک کبھی نہیں پہنچے گی جب تک میری جان نہ نکل جائے۔ بلاشبہ حضرت علی بن ابی طالب کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم نے سیدۂ کائنات حضرت فاطمہ علیہا السلام کے ہوتے ہوئے حضرت ابوجہل کی بیٹی سے نکاح کا پیغام دیا۔ تو میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو اسی منبر پر لوگوں کو خطبہ دیتے سنا، اور میں اس دن بالغ تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: فاطمہ مجھ سے ہے، اور مجھے خدشہ ہے کہ وہ اپنے دین میں آزمائش میں پڑ جائے۔ پھر آپ نے بنو عبد شمس کے اپنے ایک داماد کا ذکر فرمایا اور اپنی رشتے داری میں ان کی تعریف فرمائی اور ارشاد فرمایا: اس نے مجھ سے بات کی تو سچ کہا، اور مجھ سے وعدہ کیا تو وفا کیا۔ اور میں نہ حلال کو حرام کرتا ہوں اور نہ حرام کو حلال، لیکن اللہ کی قسم! رسول اللہ کی بیٹی اور اللہ کے دشمن کی بیٹی کبھی ایک جگہ جمع نہیں ہوں گی۔
