حَدَّثَنا إسحاق بن زياد الأيلي حَدَّثَنا موسى بن إسماعيل حَدَّثَنا حمَّاد بن سَلَمة عن يونس وهشام وأيوب عن مُحَمَّد عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى إِحْدَى صَلاتَيِ الْعِشِيِّ فسلم في الركعتين ثم خرج إلى خشبة معترضة في المسجد وخرج سرعان الناس فقام إليه رجل يقال له ذو اليدين فقال يا رسول الله أقصرت الصلاة أم نسيت قال لم تقصر ولم أنس قال إنك سلمت في الركعتين فقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أكما يقول ذو اليدين قالوا نعم فرجع فصلى ركعتين ثم تشهد ثم سلم وسجد سجدتين صَلَّى إِحْدَى صَلاتَيِ الْعِشِيِّ فسلم في الركعتين ثم خرج إلى خشبة معترضة في المسجد وخرج سرعان الناس فقام إليه رجل يقال له ذو اليدين فقال يا رسول الله أقصرت الصلاة أم نسيت قال لم تقصر ولم أنس قال إنك سلمت في الركعتين فقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أكما يقول ذو اليدين قالوا نعم فرجع فصلى ركعتين ثم تشهد ثم سلم وسجد سجدتين
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ishaq ibn Ziyad al-Ayli narrated to us, Musa ibn Isma'il narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salama narrated to us from Yunus, Hisham and Ayyub from Muhammad from Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed one of the two afternoon prayers and gave salam after two rak'at. Then he went to a piece of wood placed across the mosque, and the hasty ones among the people went out. A man called Dhul-Yadayn stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah, has the prayer been shortened or did you forget?" He said: "It has not been shortened and I did not forget." He said: "You gave salam after two rak'at." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Is it as Dhul-Yadayn says?" They said: "Yes." So he returned and prayed two rak'at, then made tashahhud, then gave salam, and prostrated two prostrations.
