وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم الأَنْصَارَ فَقَالَ أَفِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ قَالُوا لَا إلاَّ ابْنُ أُخْتٍ لَنَا قَالَ ابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَرْجِعُونَ بِالدُّنْيَا وَتَرْجِعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ إِلَى بُيُوتِكُمْ لَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا وَسَلَكَتِ الأَنْصَارُ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ شِعْبَ الأَنْصَارِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم الأَنْصَارَ فَقَالَ أَفِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ قَالُوا لَا إلاَّ ابْنُ أُخْتٍ لَنَا قَالَ ابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَرْجِعُونَ بِالدُّنْيَا وَتَرْجِعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ إِلَى بُيُوتِكُمْ لَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا وَسَلَكَتِ الأَنْصَارُ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ شِعْبَ الأَنْصَارِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
And with his chain of narration, he said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) gathered the Ansar and said: «Is there anyone among you who is not from you?» They said: No, except a nephew of ours (a son of our sister). He stated: «The nephew of a people is from them.» Then he stated: «Are you not content that the people return with worldly gains while you return with the Messenger of Allah to your homes? If the people were to take one valley and the Ansar were to take another path, I would take the path of the Ansar.»
