وحَدَّثناه يَحْيَى بن حبيب بن عربي حَدَّثنا يزيد بن زريع حَدَّثنا شُعْبَةُ عَن أَيُّوبَ عَن نافعٍ عَن ابْنِ عُمَر عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بِنَحْوِهِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رَوَاهُ عُبَيد اللَّهِ مُخْتَصَرًا وَزَادَ فِيهِ أَيُّوبُ فَأَعَدْنَاهُ مِنْ أَجْلِ الزِّيَادَةِ ولاَ نَعلم رَوَاهُ عَن شُعْبَةَ عَن أيوب إلاَّ يزيد بن زريع عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بِنَحْوِهِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رَوَاهُ عُبَيد اللَّهِ مُخْتَصَرًا وَزَادَ فِيهِ أَيُّوبُ فَأَعَدْنَاهُ مِنْ أَجْلِ الزِّيَادَةِ ولاَ نَعلم رَوَاهُ عَن شُعْبَةَ عَن أيوب إلاَّ يزيد بن زريع

Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) narrated that a man came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and stated: 'O Messenger of Allah, what are the major sins?' He stated: «Associating partners with Allah, despair of Allah's mercy, and losing hope of Allah's relief.» The man said: 'Is associating partners with Allah equal to these two?' He stated: «Yes.» This hadith is narrated from Ibn Abbas through various chains.
