وحَدَّثناه نصر بن علي قال أَخْبَرَنَا يزيد بن زريع قال أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَن الشَّعبِيّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرة عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سَعِيد إلاَّ أَنَّهُ لا أَحْفَظُ فِي حَدِيثِهِمَا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ الْهَرْجُولا نعلم روى عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْد عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرة إلاَّ هذا الحديث ولاَ روى الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرة إلاَّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَوَقَدْ رَواه زِيَادُ بْنُ عِلاقَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرة أَيْضًا

This hadith was also narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) with a similar wording to the hadith of al-Aswad ibn Sa'id, except that the phrase "then there shall be chaos" is not preserved in their narration. Amir ibn Sa'd is not known to have narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah except this hadith, nor did al-Sha'bi narrate from Jabir ibn Samurah except this hadith. Ziyad ibn Ilaqah also narrated it from Jabir ibn Samurah.
