حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحِمْصِيُّ قَالَ نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ أُتْبِعُ خَلَواتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَهَبْتُ يَوْمًا فَإِذَا هُوَ قَدْ خَرَجَ فَاتَّبَعْتُهُ فَجَلَسَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ فَجَلَسْتُ عِنْدَهُ فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَسَلَّمَ وَجَلَسَ عَنْ يَمِينِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَل��َمَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُمَرُ فَجَلَسَ عَنْ يَمِينِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُثْمَانُ فَجَلَسَ يَمِينَ عُمَرَ قَالَ فَتَنَاوَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَصَيَاتٍ فَسَبَّحْنَ فِي يَدِهِ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ لَهُنَّ حَنِينًا كَحَنِينِ النَّحْلِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فَخَرِسْنَ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فِي يَدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَسَبَّحْنَ فِي يَدِهِ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ لَهُنَّ حَنِينًا كَحَنِينِ النَّحْلِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فَخَرِسْنَ ثُمَّ تَنَاوَلَهُنَّ فَوَضَعَهُنَّ فِي يَدِ عُمَرَ فَسَبَّحْنَ فِي يَدِهِ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ لَهُنَّ حَنِينًا كَحَنِينِ النَّحْلِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فَخَرِسْنَ ثُمَّ تَنَاوَلَهُنَّ فَوَضَعَهُنَّ فِي يَدِ عُثْمَانَ فَسَبَّحْنَ فِي يَدِهِ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ لَهُنَّ حَنِينًا كَحَنِينِ النَّحْلِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فَخَرِسْنَ فَذَهَبْتُ يَوْمًا فَإِذَا هُوَ قَدْ خَرَجَ فَاتَّبَعْتُهُ فَجَلَسَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ فَجَلَسْتُ عِنْدَهُ فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَسَلَّمَ وَجَلَسَ عَنْ يَمِينِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُمَرُ فَجَلَسَ عَنْ يَمِينِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُثْمَانُ فَجَلَسَ يَمِينَ عُمَرَ قَالَ فَتَنَاوَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَصَيَاتٍ فَسَبَّحْنَ فِي يَدِهِ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ لَهُنَّ حَنِينًا كَحَنِينِ النَّحْلِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فَخَرِسْنَ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فِي يَدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَسَبَّحْنَ فِي يَدِهِ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ لَهُنَّ حَنِينًا كَحَنِينِ النَّحْلِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فَخَرِسْنَ ثُمَّ تَنَاوَلَهُنَّ فَوَضَعَهُنَّ فِي يَدِ عُمَرَ فَسَبَّحْنَ فِي يَدِهِ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ لَهُنَّ حَنِينًا كَحَنِينِ النَّحْلِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فَخَرِسْنَ ثُمَّ تَنَاوَلَهُنَّ فَوَضَعَهُنَّ فِي يَدِ عُثْمَانَ فَسَبَّحْنَ فِي يَدِهِ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ لَهُنَّ حَنِينًا كَحَنِينِ النَّحْلِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُنَّ فَخَرِسْنَ

'Umar ibn al-Khattab narrated to us, he said: Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Himsi narrated to us, he said: 'Amr ibn al-Harith narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Salim, from al-Zubaydi, from al-Walid ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I used to follow the private moments of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). One day I went and found that he had gone out, so I followed him. He sat in a spot and I sat near him. Then Abu Bakr came, greeted, and sat to the right of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then 'Umar came and sat to the right of Abu Bakr. Then 'Uthman came and sat to the right of 'Umar. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) picked up pebbles, and they glorified Allah in his hand until I heard a humming from them like the humming of bees. Then he put them down and they fell silent. Then he placed them in the hand of Abu Bakr and they glorified Allah in his hand until I heard a humming from them like the humming of bees.
