حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ ابْنُ بِنْتِ أَزْهَرَ وَسَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ قَالَا نَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ نَا أَبِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي خَارِجَةُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ خَيْرُ الشُّهُودِ مَنْ أَدَّى شَهَادَتَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْأَلَهَا اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ خَيْرُ الشُّهُودِ مَنْ أَدَّى شَهَادَتَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْأَلَهَا

Bishr ibn Adam ibn bint Azhar and Salamah ibn Shabib narrated to us, they said: Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, he said: My father Ibn 'Abbas ibn Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi narrated to us, he said: 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to me, he said: Abu Bakr ibn 'Amr ibn Hazm narrated to me, he said: Kharijah ibn Zayd ibn Thabit narrated to me, he said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi 'Amrah al-Ansari narrated to me, he said: Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be well pleased with him, narrated to me that he heard the Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, say: "The best of witnesses is the one who gives his testimony before he is asked for it."
