حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ كَثِيرِ بْنِ عُفَيْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى قَوْمٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوْصِنِي قَالَ أَفْشِ السَّلَامَ وَابْذُلِ الطَّعَامَ وَاسْتَحِ اللَّهَ اسْتِحْيَاءَ رَجُلٍ ذِي هَيْبَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِكِ وَإِذَا أَسَأْتَ فَأَحْسِنْ وَلْتُحْسِنْ خُلُقَكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِلَّا عَنْ مُعَاذٍ
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Ali ibn Dawud narrated to us, he said: Sa'id ibn Kathir ibn 'Ufayr informed us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah informed us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Abu al-Tufayl, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him to a people and he said: 'O Messenger of Allah, advise me.' He said: 'Spread the greeting of peace, offer food generously, and be as shy before Allah as you would be before a righteous man from your people.'
