أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَرْفِيُّ الْحَرْبِيُّ فِي جَامِعِ الْحَرْبِيَّةِ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ عَنْ أَبِي زُمَيْلٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي ذَرٍّ سَأَلْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ؟ قَالَ أَنَا كُنْتُ أَسْأَلُ عَنْهَا يَعْنِي أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ مَسْأَلَةً عَنْهَا فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ أَفِي رَمَضَانَ يَعْنِي أَوْ فِي غَيْرِهِ قَالَ لَا بَلْ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَتَكُونُ مَعَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ مَا كَانُوا فَإِذَا قُبِضَتِ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ وَرُفِعُوا رُفِعَتْ مَعَهُمْ أَوْ هِيَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ لَا بَلْ هِيَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ فَأَخْبِرْنِي فِي أِيِّ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ هِيَ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ وَالْعَشْرِ الْأُوَلِ ثُمَّ حَدَّثَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ وَحَدَّثَ فَاهْتَبَلْتُ غَفْلَتَهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي فِي أِيِّ عَشْرٍ هِيَ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ وَلَا تَسْأَلْنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدَ هَذَا ثُمَّ حَدَّثَ وَحَدَّثَ فَاهْتَبَلْتُ غَفْلَتَهُ فَقُلْتُ أَقْسَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بِحَقِّي عَلَيْكَ لَتُحَدِّثَنِّي فِي أِيِّ الْعَشْرِ هِيَ فَغَضِبَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ غَضَبًا مَا غَضِبَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَا بَعْدُ ثُمَّ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ وَلَا تَسْأَلْنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Dharr reported: 'I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about the Night of al-Qadr.' He said: 'I was the most persistent of people in asking about it.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, tell me about the Night of al-Qadr — is it in Ramadan or in another month?' He said: 'No, it is in the month of Ramadan.' I said: 'O Prophet of Allah, does it exist with the Prophets as long as they are alive, and when the Prophets pass away it is taken up with them, or does it remain until the Day of Resurrection?' He said: 'No, it remains until the Day of Resurrection.' I said: 'Tell me in which part of Ramadan it is.' He said: 'Seek it in the last ten and the first ten.' Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) spoke and spoke, and I seized his moment of inattention and said: 'O Prophet of Allah, tell me in which ten it is.' He said: 'Seek it in the last ten, and do not ask me about anything after this.' Then he spoke again, and I seized his inattention and said: 'I adjure you, O Messenger of Allah, by my right upon you, tell me in which of the ten it is.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) became angry with me in a way he had never been angry before or after, then he said: 'Seek it in the last seven, and do not ask me about anything more.'
