أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي ثنا حَاجِبُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ الْأَنْمَارِيِّ قَالَ ضَرَبَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَثَلَ الدُّنْيَا مَثَلَ أَرْبَعَةٍ مِنَّا رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ عِلْمًا وَآتَاهُ مَالًا فَهُوَ يَعْمَلُ بِعِلْمِهِ فِي مَالِهِ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ عِلْمًا وَلَمْ يُؤْتِهِ مَالًا فَهُوَ يَقُولُ لَوْ آتَانِيَ اللهُ ﷻ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ فُلَانٌ لَفَعَلْتُ فِيهِ مِثْلَ مَا يَفْعَلُ فَهُمَا فِي الْأَجْرِ سَوَاءٌ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ مَالًا وَلَمْ يُؤْتِهِ عِلْمًا فَهُوَ يَمْنَعُهُ مِنْ حَقِّهِ وَيُنْفِقُهُ فِي الْبَاطِلِ وَرَجُلٌ لَمْ يُؤْتِهِ اللهُ عِلْمًا وَلَا مَالًا فَهُوَ يَقُولُ لَوْ أَنَّ اللهَ آتَانِي مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ فُلَانٌ لَفَعَلْتُ فِيهِ مِثْلَ مَا يَفْعَلُ فَهُمَا فِي الْوِزْرِ سَوَاءٌ كَذَا
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) set an example of worldly life with four types of people: A man whom Allah has given knowledge and wealth, and he acts upon his knowledge in spending his wealth; a man whom Allah has given knowledge but not wealth, and he says: "If Allah had given me what He gave so-and-so, I would do as he does" — they are equal in reward. A man whom Allah has given wealth but not knowledge, and he withholds it from its rightful due and spends it on falsehood; and a man whom Allah has given neither knowledge nor wealth, and he says: "If Allah had given me what He gave so-and-so, I would do as he does" — they are equal in sin.
