وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ بِخَطِّ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الْمُسْتَمْلِي سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَحْيَى يَعْنِي الذُّهْلِيَّ يَقُولُ اسْتَعَرْتُ مِنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ صَاعَ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فَوَجَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ مَكْتُوبًا صَاعُ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ مُعَيَّرٌ عَلَى صَاعِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَلَا أَحْسَبُنِي إِلَّا عَيَّرْتُهُ بِالْعَدَسِ فَوَجَدْتُهُ خَمْسَةَ أَرْطَالٍ وَثُلُثًا
انگریزی ترجمہ
And Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Dhuhli said: I borrowed from Isma'il ibn Abi Uwais the sa' of Malik ibn Anas, and I found written on it: 'The sa' of Malik ibn Anas, calibrated against the sa' of the Prophet (peace be upon him).' I believe I calibrated it with lentils and found it to be five and a third ratls.
