Abu al-Qasim Abd al-Rahman ibn Ubaydullah al-Hurfi narrated to us in Baghdad... from Amr ibn Sa'd, the companion of al-Jar and freed slave of Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by us coming from the Hajj, and with him were a group of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). He said: 'Bathe in the sea, for it is blessed.' Then he called for towels, and they descended and bathed.
