أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ النَّصْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَا ثنا شَيْبَانُ ثنا جَرِيرٌ هُوَ ابْنُ حَازِمٍ ثنا نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ رَأَى عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ عُطَارِدًا التَّمِيمِيَّ يُقِيمُ بِالسُّوقِ حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا يَغْشَى الْمُلُوكَ وَيُصِيبُ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ عُطَارِدًا يُقِيمُ فِي السُّوقِ حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ فَلَوِ اشْتَرَيْتَهَا فَلَبِسْتَهَا لِوفُودِ الْعَرَبِ إِذَا قَدِمُوا عَلَيْكَ قَالَ وَأَظُنُّهُ قَالَ وَلَبِسْتَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِحُلَلٍ سِيَرَاءَ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى عُمَرَ ؓ بِحُلَّةٍ وَبَعَثَ إِلَى أُسَامَةَ ؓ بِحُلَّةٍ وَأَعْطَى عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ حُلَّةً فَقَالَ لَهُ شَقِّقْهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ نِسَائِكَ فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ بِحُلَّتِهِ يَحْمِلُهَا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بَعَثْتَ إِلَيَّ بِهَذِهِ وَقَدْ قُلْتَ بِالْأَمْسِ فِي حُلَّةِ عُطَارِدٍ مَا قُلْتَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَمْ أَبْعَثْ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَلْبَسَهَا وَإِنَّمَا بَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتُصِيبَ بِهَا وَأَمَّا أُسَامَةُ فَرَاحَ فِي حُلَّتِهِ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَظَرًا عَرَفَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ أَنْكَرَ مَا صَنَعَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا تَنْظُرُ إِلَيَّ وَأَنْتَ بَعَثْتَ إِلَيَّ بِهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي لَمْ أَبْعَثْ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَلْبَسَهَا وَلَكِنْ بَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتُشَقِّقَهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ نِسَائِكَ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Nafi', from Ibn Umar who said: Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) saw Utarid al-Tamimi displaying a striped silk garment for sale in the market. He said: O Messenger of Allah, I saw Utarid displaying a striped silk garment in the market. If you would buy it and wear it for the Arab delegations when they come to you, and wear it on Friday. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Only one who has no share in the Hereafter wears silk in this world. Later, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was brought striped silk garments. He sent one to Umar, one to Usamah, and gave Ali ibn Abi Talib one, saying: Tear it into head coverings for your women. Umar came carrying his garment and said: O Messenger of Allah, you sent this to me after what you said yesterday about Utarid's garment? He said: I did not send it for you to wear; I sent it for you to benefit from it. As for Usamah, he went out wearing his garment. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) looked at him in a way that Usamah knew he disapproved. Usamah said: O Messenger of Allah, why do you look at me when you sent it to me? He said: I did not send it for you to wear, but for you to tear it into head coverings for your women.
