أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ ثنا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَحْسَبُهُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ هَكَذَا حَفِظْتُهُ أَنَا عَنْهُ ثُمَّ بَلَغَنِي بَعْدُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَشُكُّ فِيهِ إِذَا اسْتَطْعَمَكُمُ الْإِمَامُ فَأَطْعِمُوهُ وَرَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ قَوْلِهِ نَحْوَ الْأَوَّلِ وَزَادَ قُلْنَا مَا اسْتِطْعَامُهُ؟ قَالَ إِذَا تَعَايَا فَسَكَتَ فَافْتَحُوا عَلَيْهِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu 'Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami informed us... from Abu 'Ubayd... from Ibn 'Ulayyah, from Layth, from 'Abd al-A'la, from Abu 'Abd al-Rahman - Isma'il said: I think he said from 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Abu 'Ubayd said: This is how I memorized it from him, then I later learned that he had no doubt about it: 'When the imam seeks help from you (in recitation), then help him.' Sufyan al-Thawri narrated it from 'Abd al-A'la, from Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, from his own words, similarly to the first narration, and added: 'We said: What is his seeking help?' He said: 'When he falters and becomes silent, then correct him.'
