أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ ثنا قَتَادَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيَّ يَقُولُ أَتَانَا كِتَابُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ وَنَحْنُ مَعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ بِأَذْرَبِيجَانَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ إِلَّا هَكَذَا وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ اللَّتَيْنِ يَلِيَانِ الْإِبْهَامَ قَالَ فَمَا عَتَّمْنَا أَنَّهُ يَعْنِي الْأَعْلَامَ رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ آدَمَ وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Uthman al-Nahdi said: A letter from Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us while we were with Utbah ibn Farqad in Azerbaijan, saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade silk except this much - and he indicated with his two fingers next to the thumb. He said: 'We understood that he meant the decorative borders.' Al-Bukhari narrated it in his Sahih from Adam, and Muslim included it from another route from Shu'bah.
