أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو نَصْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَقِيهُ الشِّيرَازِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْفَرَّاءُ أنبأ مُحَاضِرُ بْنُ الْمُرَوِّعِ ثنا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ فَلَا أَطْهُرُ أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ؟ قَالَ لَا إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَ بِالْحَيْضِ فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ وَإِذَا أَدْب��رَتْ فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي أَخْرَجَاهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ فَلَا أَطْهُرُ أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ؟ قَالَ لَا إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَ بِالْحَيْضِ فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي أَخْرَجَاهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Nasr Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Muhammad the jurist from Shiraz said: Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab al-Farra', from Muhadir ibn al-Murawwi', from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: "I suffer from persistent bleeding and do not become pure. Should I abandon the prayer?" He said: "No, that is only a blood vessel and is not menstruation. When your period comes, leave the prayer, and when it departs, wash the blood from yourself and pray." Both [al-Bukhari and Muslim] narrated it from the hadith of Hisham ibn Urwah in their Sahih collections.
