The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say: 'There is no prayer for one who has no ablution, and there is no ablution for one who does not mention the name of Allah upon it, and there is no prayer for one who does not send blessings upon the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him).' This was narrated through Abd al-Muhaymin, who is weak and whose narrations are not used as evidence. It was also narrated from Aisha as a raised hadith, but its chain is weak.
