Hudhayfah said: I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and he began reciting al-Baqarah. I thought he would bow at the end of it, but he continued. Then he recited an-Nisa and read it, then he recited Al Imran and read it, reciting slowly. When he came to a verse of glorification, he glorified Allah. When he came to a supplication, he supplicated. When he came to a seeking of refuge, he sought refuge. Then he bowed saying: Glory be to my Lord the Magnificent. His bowing was about as long as his standing. Then he said: Allah hears the one who praises Him. Then he stood for nearly as long as he had bowed. Then he prostrated saying: Glory be to my Lord the Most High. His prostration was nearly as long as his standing.
