أَخْب��رَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ ثنا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ نُوحِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ جِئْتُ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَجَلَسْتُ وَلَمْ أَدْخُلْ مَعَهُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ فَانْصَرَفَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَأَى يَزِيدَ جَالِسًا فَقَالَ أَلَمْ تُسْلِمْ يَا يَزِيدُ؟ قَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ أَسْلَمْتُ قَالَ وَمَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ مَعَ النَّاسِ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ؟ قَالَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ صَلَّيْتُ فِي مَنْزِلِي وَأَنَا أَحْسَبُ أَنْ قَدْ صَلَّيْتُمْ فَقَالَ إِذَا جِئْتَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَوَجَدْتَ النَّاسَ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ فَلْتَكُنْ لَكَ نَافِلَةً وَهَذِهِ مَكْتُوبَةٌ فَهَذَا مُوَافِقٌ لِمَا مَضَى فِي إِعَادَةِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ مُخَالِفٌ لَهُ فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ مِنْهُمَا وَمَا مَضَى أَكْثَرُ وَأَشْهُرُ فَهُوَ أَوْلَى وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ جِئْتُ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَجَلَسْتُ وَلَمْ أَدْخُلْ مَعَهُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ فَانْصَرَفَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَأَى يَزِيدَ جَالِسًا فَقَالَ أَلَمْ تُسْلِمْ يَا يَزِيدُ؟ قَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ أَسْلَمْتُ قَالَ وَمَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ مَعَ النَّاسِ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ؟ قَالَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ صَلَّيْتُ فِي مَنْزِلِي وَأَنَا أَحْسَبُ أَنْ قَدْ صَلَّيْتُمْ فَقَالَ إِذَا جِئْتَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَوَجَدْتَ النَّاسَ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ فَلْتَكُنْ لَكَ نَافِلَةً وَهَذِهِ مَكْتُوبَةٌ فَهَذَا مُوَافِقٌ لِمَا مَضَى فِي إِعَادَةِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ مُخَالِفٌ لَهُ فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ مِنْهُمَا وَمَا مَضَى أَكْثَرُ وَأَشْهُرُ فَهُوَ أَوْلَى وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us, Muhammad ibn Bakr informed us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Qutaybah narrated to us, Ma'n ibn Isa narrated to us from Sa'id ibn al-Sa'ib from Nuh ibn Sa'sa'ah from Yazid ibn Amir who said: I came while the Prophet (peace be upon him) was in prayer. I sat down and did not join them in the prayer. When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) turned toward us, he saw Yazid sitting and said: 'Have you not become Muslim, O Yazid?' He said: 'Indeed, O Messenger of Allah, I have accepted Islam.' He said: 'Then what prevented you from joining the people in their prayer?' He said: 'I had already prayed at my home, thinking you had already prayed.' He said: 'When you come to the prayer and find the people praying, pray with them even if you have already prayed. Let it be a voluntary prayer for you, and this one the prescribed one.' This is consistent with what has been mentioned regarding repeating the prayer in congregation, but differs regarding which of the two is the prescribed prayer. What has been previously mentioned is more widely reported and well-known, so it takes precedence. And Allah knows best.
