وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الدَّقَّاقُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْبَزَّازُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا هِشَامٌ ثنا يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُعَيْقِيبٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَمَسَحْ وَأَنْتَ تُصَلِّي فَإِنْ كُنْتَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً تَسْوِيَةَ الْحَصَا

Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Abi Tahir al-Daqqaq informed us in Baghdad, Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Ibrahim ibn Ayyub al-Bazzaz informed us, Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Basri narrated to us, Muslim ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us from Abu Salamah from Mu'ayqib that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not wipe while you are praying. If you absolutely must, then once — to smooth the pebbles.'
