Regarding the times of prayer: Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Jibril led me in prayer at the Ka'bah twice. He prayed Zuhr with me when the sun passed the zenith by the amount of a sandal strap. He prayed Asr with me when the shadow of everything was equal to it. He prayed Maghrib with me when the fasting person breaks fast. He prayed Isha with me when the twilight disappeared. He prayed Fajr with me when food and drink become forbidden for the fasting person. On the following day, he prayed Zuhr when the shadow of everything was equal to it. He prayed Asr when the shadow was twice its length. He prayed Maghrib at the same time as before. He prayed Isha when a third of the night had passed. He prayed Fajr when the dawn was bright. Then he said: 'O Muhammad, this is the time of the prophets before you, and the time is between these two times.'"
