أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ كَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ اللَّيْلَةَ ظُلَّةً يَنْطِفُ مِنْهَا السَّمْنُ وَالْعَسَلُ فَأَرَى النَّاسَ يَتَكَفَّفُونَ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ فَالْمُسْتَكْثِرُ وَالْمُسْتَقِلُّ وَأَرَى سَبَبًا وَاصِلًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ فَأَرَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخَذْتَ بِهِ فَعَلَوْتَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَعَلَا ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَعَلَا ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَانْقَطَعَ بِهِ ثُمَّ وُصِلَ لَهُ فَعَلَا قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ أَيْ رَسُولَ اللهِ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي وَاللهِ لَتَدَعَنِّي فَلَأَعْبُرُهَا فَقَالَ اعْبُرْهَا فَقَالَ أَمَّا الظُّلَّةُ فَظُلَّةُ الْإِسْلَامِ وَأَمَّا التَّنَطُّفُ مِنَ السَّمْنِ وَالْعَسَلِ فَهُوَ الْقُرْآنُ وَلِينُهُ وَحَلَاوَتُهُ الْمُسْتَكْثِرُ وَالْمُسْتَقِلُّ فَهُوَ الْمُسْتَكْثِرُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ وَالْمُسْتَقِلُّ مِنْهُ أَمَّا السَّبَبُ الْوَاصِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ فَهُوَ الْحَقُّ الَّذِي أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ تَأْخُذُ بِهِ فَيُعْلِيكَ اللهُ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُ بِهِ بَعْدَكَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَيَعْلُو بِهِ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُ به آخَرُ بَعْدَهُ فَيَعْلُو بِهِ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُ بِهِ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَيُقْطَعُ بِهِ ثُمَّ يُوصَلُ فَيَعْلُو بِهِ أَيْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَتُحَدِّثَنِّي أَصَبْتُ أَمْ أَخْطَأْتُ؟ قَالَ أَصَبْتَ بَعْضًا وَأَخْطَأْتَ بَعْضًا قَالَ أَقْسَمْتُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَتُحَدِّثَنِّي بِالَّذِي أَخْطَأْتُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَا تُقْسِمْ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) related that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to narrate that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I saw last night in a dream a canopy from which ghee and honey were dripping. I saw people catching it in their hands, some getting much and some getting little. I saw a rope stretching from heaven to earth, and I saw you, O Messenger of Allah, take hold of it and ascend. Then another man took hold of it and ascended. Then another took it and ascended. Then another man took it but it broke, then was reconnected and he ascended. Abu Bakr said: O Messenger of Allah, by my father, let me interpret it. The Prophet said: Interpret it. Abu Bakr said: The canopy is the canopy of Islam, the dripping ghee and honey is the Quran with its sweetness and softness, those catching much or little are those taking much or little of the Quran, and the rope from heaven to earth is the truth you are upon. Then he asked: Did I get it right or wrong? The Prophet said: You got some right and some wrong. Abu Bakr said: I adjure you, tell me what I got wrong. The Prophet said: Do not swear.
