Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami informed us: Abu al-Hasan al-Karizi reported to us: Ali ibn Abd al-Aziz reported to us, from Abu Ubayd: Hushaym narrated to us, from Ma'mar ibn Aban, from Rashid the freedman of Quraysh, from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), that he was asked about a mouse that fell into ghee, and he said: "If it is liquid, throw all of it out; and if it is solid (jamis), throw out the mouse and what is around it, and eat what remains." Abu Ubayd said: "jamis" means "jamid" (solid).
