أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ هُوَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ يَقُولُ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ فَاشْتَرَكْنَا فِي الْجَزُورِ سَبْعَةٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ الْبَقَرَةُ يُشْتَرَكُ فِيهَا؟ قَالَ مَا هِيَ إِلَّا مِنَ الْبُدْنِ وَحَضَرَ جَابِرٌ الْحُدَيْبِيَةَ فَقَالَ اشْتَرَكْنَا كُلُّ سَبْعَةٍ فِي بَدَنَةٍ فَنَحَرْنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ سَبْعِينَ بَدَنَةً

Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us > Muhammad ibn Ya'qub al-Shaybani > Yahya ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya > Musaddad > Yahya > Ibn Jurayj > Abu al-Zubayr, who heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: 'We were with the Prophet (peace be upon him) for Hajj and Umrah, and we shared in a camel, seven people.' A man asked him: 'Can the cow be shared?' He said: 'It is nothing but one of the sacrificial camels.' Jabir was present at al-Hudaybiyah and said: 'We shared, every seven in a camel, and we slaughtered seventy camels that day.'
