أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو الْفَتْحِ هِلَالُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْحَفَّارُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ ثنا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ ؓ وَمَا يُضَحِّيَانِ عَنْ أَهْلِهِمَا خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يُسْتَنَّ بِهِمَا فَلَمَّا جِئْتُ بَلَدَكُمْ هَذَا حَمَلَنِي أَهْلِي عَلَى الْجَفَاءِ بَعْدَ مَا عَلِمْتُ السُّنَّةَ كَذَا قَالَهُ مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَامِرٍ وَأَخْطَأَ فِيهِ 19036 أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ فِيمَا قَرَأْتُ عَلَيْهِ أنبأ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْبِزَارِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ الْغَازِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِيَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ إِنَّ مُعْتَمِرًا حَدَّثَنَا قَالَ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ثنا مُطَرِّفٌ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَرِيحَةَ فَقَالَ هَذَا مِثْلُ حَدِيثِهِ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرٍو الْجَمَلِيِّ يُرِيدُ عَمْرَو بْنَ مُرَّةَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أنبأ عَامِرٌ فَذَكَرَهُ يُرِيدُ يَحْيَى أَنَّهُ أَخْطَأَ فِي هَذَا كَمَا أَخْطَأَ فِي ذَلِكَ وَرِوَايَةُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ تُؤَكِّدُ قَوْلَ يَحْيَى قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

Abu al-Fath Hilal ibn Muhammad ibn Ja'far al-Haffar in Baghdad informed us, Abu Abdullah al-Husayn ibn Yahya ibn Ayyash al-Qattan informed us, Abu al-Ash'ath narrated to us, al-Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, he said: I heard Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid from Mutarrif, from Amir, from Hudhayfah ibn Usayd who said: I saw Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) not sacrificing on behalf of their families, fearing that it would be taken as a binding practice. When I came to your land, my family made me act roughly after I had known the Sunnah. Al-Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman said it thus from Amir, and he erred in it. Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami informed us, as I read to him: Abu Ishaq al-Bizari informed us, Abu al-Husayn al-Ghazi narrated to us, Amr ibn Ali said: I said to Yahya ibn Sa'id that al-Mu'tamir narrated to us saying: Isma'il narrated to us, Mutarrif narrated to us from al-Sha'bi, from Abu Sarihah. He said: This is like his hadith from al-Sha'bi from Amr al-Jamali - meaning Amr ibn Murrah - Isma'il narrated to us, Amir informed us, then he mentioned it - meaning Yahya said that he erred in this just as he erred in that.
