أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ جَزِيرَةُ الْعَرَبِ مَا بَيْنَ حُفَرِ أَبِي مُوسَى إِلَى أَقْصَى الْيَمَنِ فِي الطُّولِ وَأَمَّا الْعَرْضُ فَمَا بَيْنَ رَمْلِ يَبْرِينَ إِلَى مُنْقَطَعِ السَّمَاوَةِ قَالَ وَقَالَ الْأَصْمَعِيُّ جَزِيرَةُ الْعَرَبِ مِنْ أَقْصَى عَدَنِ أَبْيَنَ إِلَى رِيفِ الْعِرَاقِ فِي الطُّولِ وَأَمَّا الْعَرْضُ فَمِنْ جُدَّةَ وَمَا و��الِاهَا مِنْ سَاحِلِ الْبَحْرِ إِلَى أَطْرَافِ الشَّامِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu 'Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami informed us, Abu al-Hasan al-Karizi narrated to us, 'Ali ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz informed us from Abu 'Ubayd, from Abu 'Ubaydah, who said: The Arabian Peninsula in length is from the wells of Abu Musa (Hufar Abi Musa) to the farthest point of Yemen. As for the width, it is from the sands of Yabrin to the end of al-Samawah. Al-Asma'i said: The Arabian Peninsula in length is from the farthest point of 'Adan Abyan to the borderlands of Iraq. As for the width, it is from Jeddah and its adjacent coastline to the outskirts of Syria.
