أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنبأ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ يَخَامِرَ أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ ؓ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ قَاتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مِنْ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ فُوَاقَ نَاقَةٍ فَقَدْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَمَنْ سَأَلَ اللهَ الْقَتْلَ مِنْ عِنْدِ نَفْسِهِ صَادِقًا ثُمَّ مَاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ فَلَهُ أَجْرُ شَهِيدٍ وَمَنْ جُرِحَ جُرْحًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ نُكِبَ نَكْبَةً فَإِنَّهَا تَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَغْزَرِ مَا كَانَتْ لَوْنُهَا كَالزَّعْفَرَانِ وَرِيحُهَا كَالْمِسْكِ وَمَنْ خَرَجَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَعَلَيْهِ طَابَعُ الشُّهَدَاءِ 18557 وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ النَّرْسِيُّ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ يَخَامِرَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ فَذَكَرَهُ بِمِثْلِهِ وَكَذَلِكَ

Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Yahya ibn Abd al-Jabbar informed us, from Isma'il ibn Muhammad al-Saffar, from Ahmad ibn Mansur al-Ramadi, from Abd al-Razzaq, from Ibn Jurayj who said: Sulayman ibn Musa said: Malik ibn Yakhamir narrated to us that Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to them that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: Whoever fights in the cause of Allah from among the Muslim men for the time between two milkings of a she-camel, Paradise is guaranteed for him. Whoever sincerely asks Allah for death in battle and then dies or is killed, he has the reward of a martyr. Whoever is wounded in the cause of Allah or suffers a mishap, it will come on the Day of Resurrection at its most profuse — its color like saffron and its fragrance like musk. And whoever goes out in the cause of Allah bears the seal of the martyrs. And Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Abdan informed us, from Ahmad ibn Ubayd al-Saffar, from Ahmad ibn Ubaydullah al-Narsi, from Hajjaj ibn Muhammad, from Ibn Jurayj, from Sulayman ibn Musa, from Malik ibn Yakhamir, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal — and he mentioned a similar narration.
