أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّزَّازُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَزْرَقُ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ عَمْرُو بْنُ تَمِيمِ بْنِ سَيَّارٍ الطَّبَرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ الْأَجْرُ وَالْغَنِيمَةُ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ وَلَيْسَ فِي رِوَايَةِ الْأَزْرَقِ الْأَجْرُ وَالْغَنِيمَةُ

Abu al-Husayn ibn Bishran informed us in Baghdad and Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, from Ishaq ibn Yusuf al-Azraq, from Zakariyya; and Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, from Abu Bakr ibn Ishaq, from Amr ibn Tamim ibn Sayyar al-Tabari, from Abu Nu'aym, from Zakariyya ibn Abi Za'idah, from Amir, from Urwah al-Bariqi, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection: reward and spoils of war. This is the wording of Abu Nu'aym; the narration of al-Azraq does not include 'reward and spoils of war.'
