Abu Hurairah narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'A man's prayer in congregation is twenty-five times better than his prayer in his house or shop. That is because when he performs wudu properly and goes to the mosque with no purpose except prayer, his rank is raised one degree and a sin is removed with each step. When he prays, the angels pray for him as long as he is in his prayer place: O Allah, send blessings upon him, O Allah, have mercy upon him. One of you is in prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer.'"
