أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا نا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ نا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ نا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمَيْنِ فَقَالَ لَمْ أُدْرِكْ إِذْ ذَاكَ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّمَا أَسْأَلُكَ عَنِ الْحَكَمَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ أَعْنِي الْقُرْآنَ قَالَ يَبْعَثُ حَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَحَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهَا فَيُكَلِّمُونَ أَحَدَهُمَا وَيَعِظُونَهُ فَإِنْ رَجَعَ وَإِلَّا كَلَّمُوا الْآخَرَ وَوَعَظُوهُ فَإِنْ رَجَعَ وَإِلَّا حَكَمَا فَمَا حَكَمَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ جَائِزٌ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said while sitting on the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): Allah sent Muhammad (peace be upon him) with the truth and revealed the Book to him. Among what He revealed was the verse of stoning. We read it, memorized it, and understood it. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stoned and we stoned after him. I fear that with the passage of time, someone will say: By Allah, we do not find the verse of stoning in the Book of Allah, and they will go astray by abandoning an obligation that Allah revealed. Stoning is an established punishment in the Book of Allah for those who commit adultery while married, whether man or woman, when evidence is established or pregnancy occurs or confession is made.
