أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمُزَكِّي ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ وَهَبْتُ نَفْسِي لَكَ فَقَامَتْ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ زَوِّجْنِيهَا إِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَكَ بِهَا حَاجَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَلْ عِنْدَكَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ تُصْدِقُهَا إِيَّاهُ؟ فَقَالَ مَا عِنْدِي إِلَّا إِزَارِي هَذَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنْ أَعْطَيْتَهَا إِيَّاهُ جَلَسْتَ لَا إِزَارَ لَكَ فَالْتَمِسْ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ مَا أَجِدُ شَيْئًا قَالَ الْتَمِسْ وَلَوْ خَاتَمًا مِنْ حَدِيدٍ فَالْتَمَسَ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَلْ مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ شَيْءٌ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ سُورَةُ كَذَا وَسُورَةُ كَذَا لِسُوَرٍ سَمَّاهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ زَوَّجْتُكَهَا بِمَا مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi reported that a woman came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have offered myself to you.' She stood for a long time. A man stood up and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, marry her to me if you have no need of her.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Do you have anything to give her as a dowry?' He said: 'I have nothing but this garment of mine.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If you give it to her, you will have no garment. Look for something.' He said: 'I cannot find anything.' He said: 'Look, even if it be an iron ring.' He searched but found nothing. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to him: 'Do you know anything of the Quran?' He said: 'Yes, such and such surahs' - naming certain surahs. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'I have married her to you for what you have of the Quran.'
