Shuʿayb Yukhbir from his father from his grandfather > Lammā Qafal Rasūl حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَلَوِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ إِمْلَاءً ثنا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمُحَمَّدُ آبَاذِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَمِعَ عَمْرَو بْنَ شُعَيْبٍ يُخْبِرُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ ؓ قَالَ لَمَّا قَفَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ غَزْوَةِ حُنَيْنٍ فَكَانَ هَمُّهُ النَّاسُ يَسْأَلُونَهُ فَأَحَاطَتْ بِهِ النَّاقَةُ فَخَطِفَتْ شَجَرَةٌ رِدَاءَهُ فَقَالَ رُدُّوا عَلَيَّ رِدَائِي أَتَخْشَوْنَ عَلَيَّ الْبُخْلَ لَوْ أَفَاءَ اللهُ عَلَيَّ نَعَمًا مِثْلَ تَمْرِ تِهَامَةَ لَقَسَمْتُهَا بَيْنَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُونِي بَخِيلًا وَلَا جَبَانًا وَلَا كَذَّابًا ثُمَّ أَخَذَ وَبَرَةً مِنْ ذِرْوَةِ سَنَامِ بَعِيرِهِ فَقَالَ مَالِي مِمَّا أَفَاءَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا مِثْلُ هَذِهِ إِلَّا الْخُمُسَ وَهُو مَرْدُودٌ عَلَيْكُمْ رُدُّوا الْخَيْطَ وَالْمِخْيَطَ فَإِنَّ الْغُلُولَ عَارٌ وَشَنَارٌ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrated from his father from his grandfather that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) returned from the Battle of Hunayn, the people crowded him asking for things. A tree snatched his cloak. He said: "Return my cloak to me! Do you suspect me of stinginess? If Allah bestowed upon me livestock as numerous as the trees of Tihamah, I would distribute them among you. Then you would not find me miserly, cowardly, or a liar." Then he took a hair from the hump of his camel and said: "I have nothing of what Allah has bestowed upon you — not even the like of this — except the fifth, and that too is returned to you. Return the thread and the needle, for dishonesty in war gains is a disgrace and a shame."
