Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us with his chain from Jabir ibn Zayd who was asked about the inheritance of a person of ambiguous sex. He said: 'Have them stand near a wall and urinate. If the urine hits the wall, it is a boy; if it flows between the thighs, it is a girl.' A hadith with a raised chain has been narrated about this, but with a weak chain of transmission.
