وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أنا يَزِيدُ أنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَلِيلِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلِ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ عَلِيًّا ؓ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْخُنْثَى فَسَأَلَ الْقَوْمَ فَلَمْ يَدْرُوا فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ إِنْ بَالَ مِنْ مَجْرَى الذَّكَرِ فَهُوَ غُلَامٌ وَإِنْ بَالَ مِنْ مَجْرَى الْفَرْجِ فَهُوَ جَارِيَةٌ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us with his chain from Hammad ibn Salamah from Abd al-Jalil from a man of Bakr ibn Wa'il who said: I witnessed Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) being asked about a person of ambiguous sex. He asked the people, but they did not know. Ali said: 'If urination comes from the male opening, it is a boy; if from the female opening, it is a girl.'
