Waki' told us: Abd al-Aziz, that is, Ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Salamah, told us, from Ibn Shihab, from Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, from Ibrahim ibn Qariz, who said: I saw Abu Hurayrah performing ablution above the mosque, and I said: "What are you performing ablution because of?" He said: "Because of pieces of dried curd that I ate. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Perform ablution from whatever the fire has touched.'"
