حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصْدَقُ كَلِمَةٍ قَالَهَا شَاعِرٌ كَلِمَةُ لَبِيدٍ أَلَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ وَكَادَ أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ أَنْ يُسْلِمَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, he said: 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr narrated to us, he said: Abu Salamah narrated to us, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'The truest word ever spoken by a poet is the word of Labid: Indeed, everything besides Allah is vain. And Umayyah ibn Abi al-Salt came close to embracing Islam.'
