حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَبَهْزٌ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَكَمُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ إِنَّ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقْرَأُ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ بِسُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَ إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ بِهِمَا.

Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Bahz narrated to us — the meaning being the same — they said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from al-Hakam — Bahz said in his narration: al-Hakam informed me — from Muhammad ibn 'Ali, that a man said to Abu Hurayrah: 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) recites on Friday Surat al-Jumu'ah and [Surat al-Munafiqun, beginning] When the hypocrites come to you. Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite both of them.
