Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us: I heard al-'Ala' narrate from his father, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "The sun does not rise on any day, nor set, more excellent or greater than the day of Friday. There is no creature but is fearful of the day of Friday, except these two weighty creations, jinn and mankind. On every gate there are two angels writing down those who come first and then next, like a man who brought forward a camel as an offering, and a man who brought forward a cow, and a man who brought forward a sheep, and a man who brought forward a bird, and a man who brought forward an egg. Then when the imam sits down, the pages are folded up."
