Ibn Numair narrated to us, who said: Ubaidullah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade al-shighar (a form of marriage where two men exchange their daughters or sisters in marriage without paying mahr). He said: Al-shighar is when a man says: "Marry me your daughter and I will marry you my daughter," or: "Marry me your sister and I will marry you my sister." And he also forbade the sale involving uncertainty (gharar) and the sale by casting pebbles (hasah).
