Khalaf ibn al-Walid narrated to us, he said: Ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to supplicate when going to sleep: "O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Magnificent Throne, our Lord and Lord of everything, Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran, Splitter of the grain and the seed. There is no deity but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything whose forelock You hold. You are the First, and there is nothing before You. You are the Last, and there is nothing after You. You are the Manifest, and there is nothing above You. You are the Hidden, and there is nothing beneath You. Settle our debts and enrich us from poverty."
