حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَرِيرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدٌّ يُعْمَلُ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَيْرٌ لِأَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ أَنْ يُمْطَرُوا ثَلَاثِينَ صَبَاحًا.

'Attab narrated to us, 'Abdullah narrated to us, he said: 'Isa ibn Yazid informed us, he said: Jarir ibn Yazid narrated to me that he heard Abu Zur'ah ibn 'Amr ibn Jarir narrating that he heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "A legal punishment carried out in the land is better for the people of the land than being given rain for thirty mornings."
