Abu Hurayrah said: I met the Prophet (peace be upon him) while I was in a state of ritual impurity (junub). I walked with him until he sat down. Then I slipped away, went to my dwelling, bathed, and came back while he was still sitting. He said: "Where were you?" I said: I met you while I was in a state of ritual impurity and I disliked sitting with you in that state, so I went and bathed. He said: "Glory be to Allah! Indeed, a believer does not become impure."
