حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَكَانَ مِنْ الْقَارَةِ وَهُوَ حَلِيفٌ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنْ ابْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَحْمِلُونَ اللَّبِنَ لِبِنَاءِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَهُمْ قَالَ فَاسْتَقْبَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَارِضٌ لَبِنَةً عَلَى بَطْنِهِ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهَا قَدْ شُقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ قُلْتُ نَاوِلْنِيهَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ خُذْ غَيْرَهَا يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا عَيْشَ إِلَّا عَيْشُ الْآخِرَةِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Hurayrah narrated that they were carrying bricks for building the mosque while the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was with them. He said: I met the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) while he was holding a brick against his belly. I thought it was difficult for him, so I said: Hand it to me, O Messenger of Allah. He said: "Take another one, O Abu Hurayrah, for there is no life except the life of the Hereafter."
