وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ لَبِثْتُ فِي السِّجْنِ مَا لَبِثَ يُوسُفُ ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي الدَّاعِي لَأَجَبْتُهُ إِذْ جَاءَهُ الرَّسُولُ فَقَالَ { ارْجِعْ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَاسْأَلْهُ مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ إِنَّ رَبِّي بِكَيْدِهِنَّ عَلِيمٌ } وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى لُوطٍ إِنْ كَانَ لَيَأْوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ { لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ } وَمَا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا فِي ثَرْوَةٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Had I stayed in prison as long as Yusuf stayed, and then the caller came to me, I would have answered him." When the messenger came to him, he said: "Go back to your lord and ask him: 'What is the case of the women who cut their hands? Indeed my Lord is Knowing of their scheme.'" And may the mercy of Allah be upon Lut; he used to take refuge in a strong support when he said to his people: "If only I had the strength to resist you or could take refuge in a strong support." And Allah did not send any prophet after him except from among the elite of his people.
