حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا تَعُدُّونَ الشَّهِيدَ فِيكُمْ قَالُوا مَنْ قُتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنَّ شُهَدَاءَ أُمَّتِي إِذًا لَقَلِيلٌ الْقَتْلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ شَهَادَةٌ وَالْبَطَنُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالْغَرَقُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالنُّفَسَاءُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Whom do you consider a martyr among you?' They said: 'Whoever is killed in the cause of Allah.' He said: 'Then the martyrs of my nation would be very few. Being killed in the cause of Allah is martyrdom, dying of a stomach disease is martyrdom, drowning is martyrdom, dying in childbirth is martyrdom, and dying of plague is martyrdom.'
